There are many reasons that you should home school your children. One of the top reasons that parents home school their children is the ability to control the curriculum. Now that public schools, which are run by the government rather than local communities like they were in teh recent past, it is becoming more important to parents to be able to give advice about what their children are learning. Because of the nature of centralization, many parents have found that they have lost their voice. Many people feel that it is sound economically to home school. Much research has found that children who are homeschooled do better than those who go to government schools, and on average the cost is much lower per student for those taught at home. With the economy being like it is today, many cuts are being made in all areas. When there are cuts to education, there are likely to be more students per teacher, and the teachers, may not be quality educators. Time with the family is shrinking, and homeschooling makes it possible for families to start spending time together again. There is nothing like learning new things together and creating experiences that they will remember for a life time. Some people say that they do not know how parents who home school can handle it. The parents who do it point out that they were able to teach their own children before they handed them over to government schools, and that they can still teach their own children.  |
